Award winning and Spirit filled gospel artiste Mabel Okyere on Sunday 23rd September released her first single in the year 2018 titled ‘Ode aba’ in English means he has brought it which features controversial gospel artiste Brother Sammy produced by Shaa.
Mabel Okyere has two albums: Biribi hia me and Mewo Jesus, to her credit and now ready to release singles.
According to Mabel, promoting gospel album isn’t an easy thing to do these days in our fraternity so she is testing waters with her brand new song and will release an album later.
The song ‘Ode aba’ speaks about the glory and possession the devil took from us as Christians and has been returned after years. 2nd Samuel Chapter 6 explains further about the song. Since our lives are not in the hands of the devil, there’s nothing he can do than to give us our belonging. It is both prophetic and thanksgiving song which can transform lives and win souls for Christ.
The delectable songstress who has performed on big platforms both in Ghana and abroad on some television musical shows, award shows, church events and other platforms sees it as a step in the right direction considering that there are so many gospel musicians struggling to get into the limelight.
Speaking about the headway in her music career, she said “I am happy with the progress made and I give thanks to God because, I have won many souls for Christ, won awards, gotten nominations in several award schemes: Vodafone Ghana music awards, Ghana Gospel Music Awards, Ghana Music Awards UK and Shine Awards. God deserves all the praise and glory. These were the words of the sparkling young lady when she was interviewed by Dan Lartey of Remedi Entertainment last Sunday.
When asked what she does apart from music, she had this to say; For now, I am doing music full time but I am sure sometime in the near future, I may venture into some kind of business alongside my music career.
