The Internet was taken aback on Friday, 23rd November as a fresh and brilliant young man shared his vision to achieving his life purpose and declaring his aim to run for Member of Parliament in the December 2020 general elections.
He is currently the Administrator / Creative Director for Ghana’s most bankable record label “Black Avenue Muzik” having been very instrumental in the Ghanaian entertainment and showbiz arena. Mr. John Asogonnde who is popularly known as “John Hermit” shared this inspiring post on his social media platforms to make his decision know.

” As a 6 year old kid growing up from a small town in the Volta Region, I recall an event that enriched my perception and informed my entire life purpose. It was in the early 2000 when the Ex President His Excellency Flt. Lt. Jerry John Rawlings was bound to hold a rally in Kadjebi for the upcoming general elections that year. The news spread across town like a wild fire and in just a matter of minutes, I witnessed what would become the premise of my life ambition. Lo and behold, the rally was set and the most charismatic leader Ghana has had by far mounted the stage to interact with the masses of people gathered. For the first time in my life as a 6 year old, I saw how my seemingly depressed society got entrusted into the light as everyone (young and old) became so full of joy and excitement by the simple sight of the ruling President. My only wish that day was to become President someday and have the honour of bringing that amount of HOPE to my people. Today, I’m very pleased to announce that I’ve finally taken the bold step to embark on this journey by running in the upcoming NDC parliamentary primaries which would ultimately see me contest to become the nation’s youngest Member of Parliament for the Akan Constituency in the December 2020 general elections.
I wish to humbly solicit the support of my dear friends and admirers to join me on this journey to becoming the man I was born to be and contribute my God-given talent in serving humanity and eventually building the Ghana we all desire.
I would like to also genuinely confess that, I am currently financially incapable for this elections but I strongly believe my God, Jehovah Jireh – El Shaddai will make a way and supply all my needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. AMEN.
