Thyroid Ghana Foundation , a Ghanaian based non-governmental organization on May 25th,2023 commemorated 5 years of creating awareness of thyroid diseases , creating opportunities for early detection of thyroid problems, supporting thyroid research and institutions involved in thyroid disease management, providing access to affordable treatment and advocating for improved healthcare practices for thyroid disease patients.

The graceful event saw in attendance Ashok Basheen ; President of Thyroid Federation International, Rev. Prof. Patrick F. Ayeh-Kumi Mrs Iruoma Ofortube; founder of Thyroid Awareness and Support Initiative, Nigeria, Dr Darius Osei, Kafui Dey and more.
The 5th anniversary of the Thyroid Ghana Foundation with theme ” Thyroid and Genetics ” took place at the University of Ghana Medical Centre in Accra.
The founder, Mrs. Nana Adwoa Konadu Dsane in a momentary oration elucidated the myths, symptoms and challenges thyroid patients face , and admonished stakeholders to throw weight behind the organisation to create awareness on the disease.
