The 2023 academic calendar has been created so that the current academic year will conclude on September 15, 2023, for both basic schools and SHS. The Ghana Education Service is doing everything possible to restore the old academic calendar. Basic schools will spend just 9 Days at home. Students will be on vacation from Saturday, 25th March, 2023 to Sunday, 2nd April, 2023.

Second Term Resuming Date For All Basic Schools
The 2023 BECE to be written in August will be the last examination for students using the old curriculum. In 2024, the standard base curriculum will be used for the examination. The GES has therefore directed all head teachers not to repeat any student who was in form two at the end of the 2022 academic year, since such a move will disadvantage such students.
