Guiness World Records via an email has debunked claims made by Ghanaian Chef known widely as Chef Smith as the record holder for the longest cooking marathon.

Chef Smith on Tuesday 2nd July,2024 held a press conference at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel located in Accra to announce himself as the title holder for the enviable Guiness World Records’ cooking marathon.

His supposed achievement was met with scepticism on social media as several users noticed dissimilarities in his certificate and that of previous title holders.
An official email was sent by various media outlets in Ghana seeking for answers with regards to the authenticity of his achievements.
It has now been confirmed that Chef Smith is nothing close to a Guiness World Records cookathon title holder as the GWR outfit does not even recognise him as a contender.

Close sources have confirmed that the Ghanaian Chef never applied officially to embark on the journey.
Meanwhile, Chef Smith has been apprehended by the police for allegedly breaching contracts he signed with his sponsors.
