The 21st Vodafone Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the Year, Kuami Eugene , has mourned his departed father in an emotional Twitter post.
Kaumi Eugene, who was recently crowned by the legendary High-life artist Amakye Dede as the future of Highlife at the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), said the thought alone of waking up to the reality that his beloved father is no more is sickening and tough for himself and the family.
The Ghanaian music sensation revealed that it is one of the toughest moments of his life as he grapples with the loss of his father.

In a heartbreaking post shared on Twitter, the award-winning artiste announced the sad news to his fans and followers.
Mr. Eugene expressed the difficulty of these trying times for him and his family.
Bidding farewell to his father, he noted that he misses him already.

His post read, “It’s been difficult times for myself and my family. We’ve said goodbye to a loved one too soon. I miss you so much already Dad. Rest well until we meet again.”
He shared a photo of his dad, a veteran singer, while giving fans a look into their relationship. According to Kuami Eugene, his father didn’t want him to make music because of his past experiences.
As one of Ghana’s most prominent and talented musicians, Kuame Eugene has garnered a massive following and admirers worldwide through his music. Reacting to the constant critism of his fashion sense, the Ghanaian singer said he does not dress to impress anybody. He added on the Delay Show that he wears what he feels comfortable with.
Now, in this moment of grief, his fans are rallying around him, offering their condolences and support.
