Asantehemaa Nana Konadu Yiadom III Dies at 98

The Ashanti Kingdom is mourning the loss of its revered Queen Mother, the Asantehemaa Nana Konadu Yiadom III , who passed away at the age of 98.

The announcement of her death was made by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, during an Asanteman Council meeting at the Manhyia Palace on Monday, August 11, 2025.

According to the Asantehene, Nana Konadu Yiadom III joined her ancestors peacefully in the palace on August 6, 2025.

During her tenure, which spanned nearly a decade, played a paramount role in the cultural and traditional affairs of the kingdom.

As the biological sister of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Nana Konadu Yiadom III held a position of great importance among the Ashanti people.
