I Have a Tough Skin: Becca on Bleaching Critics

Ghanaian Singer, Rebecca Akosua Acheampomaa Acheampong, popularly known as Becca says she is determined and focused not to be moved by critics on social media.

Becca recently received a lot of trolls on social media after pictures of her alleged bleached body surfaced on the internet.

Responding to the bleaching allegations on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM on Friday, Becca said she wasn’t bothered by the comments.

She denied using cosmetic products with the aim of whitening her skin.

She told Andy Dosty that “Its fine to chastise me. It makes me a stronger person. I wasn’t bothered at all. Do I look bleached? Some of them [the comments] were really ridiculous”, she said.

The “Nana” hitmaker added that “Something was wrong with those pictures. I carry determination – a spirit that is not deterred. As a celeb, you give the room for bashing. People discuss you and doing this for ten years, I have a tough skin [sic]”.

Becca is currently promoting her “Nana” song, featuring rapper Sarkodie.
