Ghanaian Afrobeats artists and rapper Bashir Annan, stage named Gambo, renowned for hits like “Cut Soap” and “Settle,” met with US rap icon Snoop Dogg to discuss his upcoming musical album.
Following his successful meetings with other American icons, Gambo briefed Snoop Dogg on his ongoing recording endeavors in the United States. Impressed by Gambo’s dedication to his music career, the renowned rapper offered words of encouragement, urging the artist to keep pushing boundaries.
Notably, the Doggy Style Records founder and Owner of Death Row Records hinted at an upcoming visit to Ghana, showcasing the global appeal of Gambo’s work.

In an unexpected turn, Gambo took the opportunity to teach Snoop Dogg Twi, the Akan language, in a bid to enhance communication during the rap icon’s prospective visit to Ghana.
The brief language session proved to be a delightful experience, with Snoop Dogg learning key Twi phrases, including the warm Ghanaian greeting “Akwaaba” (welcome).
“I will be in Ghana soon, Akwaaba,” he stated.
The meeting, held on the sidelines of the African pre-Grammy Awards Global Affairs event in California, marked a significant moment in Gambo’s mission to promote the positive side of Ghana internationally, fostering tourism and diaspora investment.

The event was originated by the CEO of All We Do Is Work, Mr. Terry Williams, and presented by Godfather Entertainment, featuring Michael Harris, the co-founder of Death Row Records.
