The Ministry of Education has been fined an amount of ¢50,000 for refusing to give out information to Education Watch on the 2022 Senior High School Placement.
There have been several reports of corruption in the 2022 Senior High School Placement during which it was alleged that some people at high places we’re charging fees to change schools for students into Category A schools.

Following the reports of corruption in the Senior High School Placement, EduWatch demanded for information on the 2022 SHS Placement under the Right To Information (RTI) law but the ministry of Education reportedly refused to grant the request.
Revealing the fine to the Ministry of Education, Mr. Kofi Asare from EduWatch, stated that the RTI Commission has fined the Ministry of Education (MoE) a sum of GH¢50,000.00 for refusing to release public information on how the 2022 SHS placement was conducted.
