BET Award winning artist Stonebwoy born Livingstone Etse Satekla has released a rejoinder in pursuance of making further elucidation vis-a-vis his assertions on the history of reggae music in a latest interview with media in Nigeria.

Stonebwoy has received some něgative appraisals after a section of the Jamaican media misquoted him after he shares sentiments about reggae music.
The Ghanaian reggae-dancehall star spoke on ” The Cable Lifestyle ” owned by the Cable Newspaper in Nigeria a while a ago.
Stonebwoy in the interview was asked to share his outlook on whether ” reggae is an African thing or not ” .

The ” Gidigba ” crooner exposited that : “Reggae is rooted in the heart of Africa. It’s not a foreign style or movement… Even our Afrobeats of today also stem out from the highlife core, where the highlife core tells stories and brings people to consciousness. Whether Reggae, Dancehall, Highlife, or Afrobeats, they all come from the same source,”.
Stonebwoy’s rejoinder reiterated that elements of reggae music and sound have its roots from Africa. He says : ” Reggae is rooted in the hearts of Africa and as a people we are all Africans..out of many ,one people ”
