Former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings has passed away at the age of 76 according to reports. She died on Thursday morning, October 23, 2025, at the Ridge Hospital in Accra.

Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings was a pioneering figure in Ghanaian politics, known for her tireless advocacy for women’s rights and empowerment.
She was the wife of late former President Jerry John Rawlings and served as First Lady from 1981 to 2001.
She also made history in 2016 as the first woman to run for President of Ghana. Funeral arrangements are yet to be announced.
