Tommy Lee Sparta Released Early from Prison for Good Behaviour


According to the Jamaica Observer Online, reports obtained from “reliable sources” have relayed that Leroy Russell, more popularly known to the world of music as Tommy Lee , was set free from the Horizon Remand Centre in Kingston.

The Uncle Demon artiste was said to be released at around 11 AM earlier today.

Tommy Lee had been arrested and charged on December 14, 2020, when the car he was being transported in was pulled over by Jamaica Constabulary Force’s (JCF) Specialised Operations members. Upon being searched, the entertainer was found to have in his possession, a 9mm Glock pistol with an extended magazine containing 18 rounds of ammunition.

He was then charged with illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition, to which he was sentenced to three years in prison.

Tommy Lee pled guilty to the charges in court and it was reported that he was released from prison early on good behaviour, but has requested that the public grant him privacy at this time to rest and reconnect with his family and friends.

A statement from his management team said, “We can confirm that Mr Leroy Russell, aka Tommy Lee Sparta, has been released from custody. He is asking for privacy in the coming days as he rests and reconnects with family and loved ones.”
