Ghanaian Reggae/Dancehall musician, Stonebwoy , believes a collaboration between himself and Shatta Wale—another heavyweight in the Dancehall fraternity, is possible.

With many music stars still struggling to find the media space, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy have both enjoyed considerable media attention, both in the country and outside the country. With their catchy beats and stirring lyrics, these two musical heavyweights have dominated the scene, and their rivalry has become legendary.

Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale have a history of disagreements, which resulted in an almost violent altercation at the 2019 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.

Although the two appear to have reconciled after the altercation, there have been occasional quiet jabs between the two camps, leading fans to wonder if they will ever settle their differences and work together on a song.

Stonebwoy, however, seems to have settled the air when he recently disclosed that a potential collaboration with Shatta Wale is not completely improbable.

The ‘Sobolo’ hitmaker revealed his willingness to collaborate with Shatta Wale on a song during an interview with King Lagazee on the Yaad Settingz show on Asaase radio.

Stonebwoy jokingly opined that, the ‘Kakai’ crooner does not invest in shooting quality videos, “so that collaboration nu, we go fight for like one hour before it will happen.”

“But you know everything happens with time and I don’t want to sound political. As I sit here, I believe in a clean heart and I know that as powerhouses as the two of us are, we can shake the ground and I hope and pray that it doesn’t become too late or it doesn’t become too early,” he noted.

Meanwhile, the back and forth between rapper Sarkodie and movie star Yvonne Nelson has dominated the media conversation such that not a word has been heard of what the status quo is, as far as the management of Ghana’s economy is concerned.
