Aisha Bawa, a registered midwife at the Manhyia district hospital in Ashanti Region has been adjudged the national best Nurse/Midwife for 2021 at the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association 2nd Annual National Awards 2021. #GRNMAawards21

She was among 10 finalists and other nurses and midwives in various disciplines from across the country who were honored during the occasion which was held at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra.

Aisha who also won the best nurse/midwife for the Ashanti region was presented with a brand new car valued at over GHC100,000, a laptop with a citation.

National Best nurse

Aisha holds a diploma from the Nursing and Midwifery training college in Kumasi and BSc midwifery from the Kwame Nkrumah University of science and technology Kumasi. Since 2013 she has been the Champion and Focal Person in Newborn Care Manhyia District Hospital, Regional Facilitator in helping babies breathe (HBB) and Essential care for every baby (ECEB) Ghana Health Service, Health promoter (Radio and TV) on Maternal and Newborn issues and general health program.
