The newly built Kejetia Central Market at Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana is reportedly on fire . Parts of the market are on fire as a heavy smoke is seen bellowing high into the clouds.

According to our sources no casualties have been recorded so far but traders affected by the catastrophe are in distress

The Kejetia Central market which is preferably called the ‘Dubai market due to its coruscating look was set on fire on Wednesday evening 15th March, 2023 around 5PM.’ The fire is currently being stamped out by the Ghana National Fire Service whose timely intervention is saving the situation from getting out of hand.
The cause of the fire outbreak is yet to be identified.
Video footages from the scene at the Kejetia Central Market have been circulating on social media after the fire outbreak.
