The Kejetia Market wasn’t an exception when Akufo-Addo visited the Ashanti Region on Monday. President Akufo-Addo on Monday 17th October, 2022 embarked on a 3 days tour in Kumasi and its environs .

The purpose of the tour was to commission the newly built residential facility for court judges and to inspect other impending projects the NPP government is undertaking in Kumasi.
The Kejetia central market is one of the projects which is underway in the Ashanti Region. President Akufo-Addo, who was inspecting the Phase II of the Kejetia/Central Market Project faced hostility .
In a video circulating on social media, market women from the Kejetia central Market were seen hissing loudly at the president’s convoy .

Akufo-Addo ‘s convoy was met by scores of traders at Adum in the central business district who had displayed their wares for sale.
The traders expressed their dissatisfaction in the New Patriotic Party government as a result of the hardship and inflation in the country.
