BAMA Awards to Honour Late Ebony Reigns Tonight

Brong Ahafo Music Awards festival is set to come off again this evening at the Tyco City Conference Centre in Sunyani. The awards ceremony was called off last month due to circumstances beyond organizers’  capabilities. In a press statement unleashed by JBlack Code events , organisers of BAMA awards, we at hello-gh.com have been informed the late Rufftown Records signee EBONY REIGNS will be given an honorary award in reverence to the impact she made in the entertainment industry before her demise as a native from the Brong Ahafo Region.

According to the organisers, the award will be presented the Ebony’s father Nana Opoku Kwarteng who has been very supportive with  her daughter’s musical career. This is the maiden edition of the Brong Ahafo Music Awards and the first of its kind in the region hello-gh.com can confirm.

Ebony Reigns born Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng was one of the youngest but fastest rising superstars in Africa. She was known for hits songs like : Kupe, poison, maame Hwe, dancefloor and more. The award winning singer met her untimely death in a car accident on the Accra – Sunyani road  last year after paying her family a surprise visit in Sunyani where she comes from. Ebony died with her best friend and personal assistant known as Franky Kuri including a security personnel called Mr Atsu.

Other industry players and musicians who grabbed nominations include; Joyce Blessing, SP KofiSarpong, Kooko, Jullie Jay-Kanz, Qwesi Quarang, BangsEntertainment and a host of other musicians from the region.
