Gospel Singer Deaconess Piesie Esther on May 6th 2023 at the 24th VGMA ( Vodafone Ghana Music Awards) topped the gospel categories taking away two awards at the end of the award ceremony. Piesie Esther won the gospel song of the year ( Way3 Me Yie ) and Gospel Artiste of the Year awards at Charterhouse’s organised VGMA. This is the singer’s first ever awards at the VGMA’s .

The multiple award winning singer was in contention with Joe Mettle, MOG, Ewurabena, Celestine Donkor, MOGmusic , Perez Musik and others in the two aforementioned gospel categories. Piesie Esther was tipped by majority of the christian community to win the Artiste of the year award but unfortunately lost to Ghana’s poster boy Black Sherif.
