2024 Olympic Games which is being held at Paris France will witness close 10,000 athletes from across the world who will be competing in the various athletic and sports jurisdictions and the world is anticipating the medal count so far in this year’s edition.

With 329 medal events in total, KXAN is keeping track of how many medals each participating team has won.The convention used by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) is to sort by the number of gold medals, then silver, then bronze.

This means the country that wins the most medals overall may not necessarily be at the top of the table.

The first gold medal of the 2024 Olympic Games was won by Huang Yuting and Sheng Lihao (People’s Republic of China) in the 10m air rifle team event. Keum Ji-hyeon and Park Ha-jun (Republic of Korea) won silver, and Alexandra Le and Islam Satpayev (Kazakhstan) took bronze.
